About Daenafae

My name is Heather, and I go by Daenafae (pronounced day-nah-fay) or Daena for short.

I have a deep passion for both the natural and fantastical, which winds its way through my heart and out of the pencil. I grew up surrounded by animals and the beautiful yet moody nature of the countryside and North Sea. From a young age fairy tales and myths captured my fascination, and never let go.

Through my illustrations I take these inspirations and experiences and bring them into form with dust and paint on paper, or occasionally with pixels on a digital canvas.

I share my creative journey online through videos and blog posts. Detailing my creative process and thoughts, and documenting my continual growth as an artist and illustrator.
